Rasmussen: Lower Still . . . (UPDATED)

(h/t Instapundit): A new Rasmussen poll spells even more troubles ahead for Obama:

"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19.

Today is the second straight day that Obama’s Approval Index rating has fallen to a new low. Prior to the past two days, the Approval Index had never fallen below -15 during Obama’s time in office."

Tough times call for tough decisions.  What's it going to be, Mr. President?  A real and sustained move to the center - like the themes you (sort of) campaigned on?  That's terrain you can win on.  Or a continued quixotic fight for the left?  It's your move.

UPDATE: Freefall?:

"It’s not just Rasmussen that finds Obama has lost support, a week ago even CNN found Obama’s job approval rating fell 48%, confirming similar results from Gallup, Quinnipiac, and Hawkeye a week earlier."
