Oops! Obama Walks Back His Prediction That KSM Will Be Executed . . . After A Fair Trial Of Course!

"The president, in a series of TV interviews during his trip to Asia, said those offended by the legal rights accorded Mohammed by virtue of his facing a civilian trial rather than a military tribunal won't find it "offensive at all when he's convicted and when the death penalty is applied to him."

Obama, who is a lawyer, quickly added that he did not mean to suggest he was prejudging the outcome of Mohammed's trial. "I'm not going to be in that courtroom," he said. "That's the job of the prosecutors, the judge and the jury."

Thanks, Mr. Constitutional law scholar, for helping to put the trial in jeopardy by doing exactly that: prejudging the case, interfering with the prosecution, and giving KSM more legal ammunition.  Who is in charge of watching this guy?  He had better be careful or he will take Joe Biden's place as the gaffe-master of this administration.

Read it all here.

  1. This whole situation is a joke. This isn't a trial, or even a show-trial. It's a preodained farce.

I mean these people are justifying the civillian trial by guaranteeing a conviction and then the death penalty. Then in the same breath they hypocritically talk about the legal "morality" of a civilian trial. Give me a break!

It's not like KSM deserves better, but this "trial" is something, in part, designed to falsely reinforce the Left's smug and misplaced sense of moral self-righteousness.
